How to Change Your Life in Just 30 Minutes a Day

It seems that every year we all decide to make changes to our lives we consider critical to our success. If you’re like me, and you feel you’ve failed to make all the changes in your life you want to make, then maybe it’s time to change the way you think.

Instead of trying to change the world around you, you need to start with the inside and work your way out. By changing from the inside to the outside, you’ll create lasting change.

Whatever your life is like today, it didn’t get that way overnight, and it won’t change overnight. All you have to do is make a commitment to do something today that will change your life today. Then, each day, recommit.

Don’t try to do it all at once. In fact, by taking small steps, eventually, you’ll reach your goal. Although it’s a cliche, it really is true that “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Change won’t happen overnight, but it will happen to you if you are willing to take three simple steps. Regardless of your faith, or what you believe, this plan will work for you.

You only need to commit to 30 minutes each day to see lasting success. Try this plan every day for 21 days. Almost any habit can be developed, or broken, in only 21 days. If you really want to get the most from it, then commit to an hour a day. Although this may seem hard at first, once you start to reap the results, you won’t want to do anything else. It will become a part of your daily routine.

Before you start this plan, you need to decide first what it is you really want. Is it a slimmer body, more money, better relationships? Think really hard here and add as many details as possible. Then write down your goal.

Imagine how it would make you feel if you achieved your goal. Really put some emotion into it because the emotional attachments you make to your goals will make them easier to achieve.

There are only three major areas of your life where you need to work anyway: health, relationships, and wealth. Pick one of those areas, set a goal, and then get to work.

Once you have a specific goal in mind, and you know exactly what you want to accomplish, then choose the tools you need to help you reach your goals. Keep it simple. If you try to do too much at one time, you will only get overwhelmed, and you won’t do anything.

One final caution: it’s OK to have more than one goal. If you do, then choose only one goal from each area of your life. It makes it a lot easier to focus if you only have a few goals, and you do something each day to achieve those goals.

Below are the steps you need to follow:

1. Read motivational material.

The easiest way to change the way you think is to read something else. If you spend all your time reading about politics, news, or anything like that, you’re bound to be more negative.

Something as simple as watching the news before you go to bed can give you a negative attitude and make you more anxious. The reason is that your subconscious mind is most accessible right before you go to bed, and right when you get up in the morning. That’s why, when you’re trying to change, use one of these two times to do it.

Inspirational material can be anything. If you read the Bible, try reading Psalms and Proverbs for 20 minutes a day. There are also many great authors available that you can read. My personal favorites are Tony Robbins, Lisa Diane, Jack Canfield, and Wallace Wattles, the author of “The Science of Getting Rich.”

If you want a more step-by-step plan that is organized, then read The Master Key by Charles Haanel.

2. Meditate.

Meditation is one of the best ways to help you relax both mind and body and then get focused. Your focus is key to reaching all your goals, so you want to get as focused as you possibly can.

The secret to changing your life and getting what you want is doing things that will take you to your goals. You start with belief, and then you take action. Use meditation to help you get rid of all the distractions in your life and focus on what is important.

Energy medicine is also a good choice, and it actually works faster than meditation. (I learned this after using it.) The best energy system I have found, which has actually helped me heal so many of my issues, is The Healing Codes. Dr. Alex offers a lot of free resources to help those who want to heal.

3. Exercise.

No self-help plan would be complete without exercise. Exercise gets your blood flowing and will give you more energy. You will feel and look so much better, and if you do something that raises your heart rate, then you can get fit as well.

My routine generally includes The 5 Tibetan Rites every day and then alternating between squats one day and pushups the other. I also have a five-minute ab routine I do, and I also walk. (I’m really doing more than 20 minutes a day, but this is what works for me.)

Find activities you enjoy and then do them. It will lift your mood, and you’ll start to feel better almost immediately.

Change starts in the mind. Then you have to take action. Use this simple plan to help you reach your dreams and get the life you deserve.
