3 Steps to Make the Secret Work in Your Life

The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne is a book and movie based on the work of minister Wallace Wattles who wrote “The Science of Getting Rich.” In it, Byrne interviews multiple experts in the field of personal development and medicine like Jack Canfield and Dr. Ben Johnson.

Although the information you learn is helpful, it really doesn’t give you a plan to help you achieve your goals. It also doesn’t show you how to develop the right mindset to help you accomplish what you want to accomplish in life or turn your dreams into reality.

These steps will help you get started in moving towards what you want in life. It requires developing the right mindset and then taking the right action to help you succeed.

Step 1 – Educate Yourself on the Law of Attraction

Before you can begin to change your mindset, you need to understand what the Law of Attraction is and how it can help you. The way to do this, once you have read “The Secret” is to read the actual books that Rhonda Byrne read in order to write her book. Those books are “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles and “The Master Key System” by Dr. Charless Haanel.

Make sure you record notes from each of the books to tell you what you need to do. You will need this information in the next step.

Step 2 – Keep a Journal

A journal will allow you to record your feelings as well as your goals. Your goals will be a list of those things you want, things you want to accomplish and have in your life.

You may also want to record your feelings here. Feelings, rather than people, places or events will often be your biggest obstacle and can cause you to fail to reach your goal.

Step 3 – Take Small Deliberate Steps Towards Your Goal

Some call these process goals. Others call these S.M.A.R.T. goals. These small steps are what will help you achieve results.

For example, say you want to lose 30 pounds. You can’t do that all in one day. However, by setting a few small process goals each day, you can reach your goal.

An example of a goal would be to say that you’ll eat a certain number of calories each day for a certain number of days this week. You may also want to add exercise to the mix, and so you’ll walk 30 minutes X number of days.

What we believe is crucial to our success in life, so it’s necessary to change your beliefs. Reading inspirational material each day and changing our self-talk can do that.

Having a big goal and then breaking it down into small steps we take each day can help us to reach our goals. Believe in yourself and take small steps toward your goal, and you will see success.

Although this book has been around for awhile, it’s definitely worth reading. You can read it in a couple of hours. The real secret here though is to take action on what you have read, and you will see success.
